Mobility stands for freedom, but it also creates unequal burdens. We all pay the costs for public transport, fuel, and electric cars, but not everyone benefits equally from this. (Air) pollution, noise, and use of space also affect us all, but not everyone contributes to this equally.
Which mode of transport do people choose if we pass on these burdens in the price of transport? DIT4TraM partners will join a discussion addressing civil society to investigate a system that works with mobility credit in an interactive simulation. What are the effects on society? Does it offer opportunities for fairer distribution or does it only increase inequality? Some of these questions will be answered by our colleagues. Organized by project partner AMS Institute, this session will count with our project coordinator, Sascha Hoogendoorn-Lanser (TU Delft), Oded Cats (TU Delft), Tom Kuipers, and Ivo Frantzen.
This event will take place for free on April 23, at 7:30 in the Pakhuis de Zwijger space, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
This event there will be an interactive experiment, the results of which are part of a study by TU Delft. Please be aware that at the start of this evening we will ask for your consent, acknowledging that you are voluntarily participating in this study; that you can refuse to answer questions and withdraw from the study at any time without giving a reason.
To participate in this event, we ask you to bring a working smartphone/tablet.
All the information about the event can be found at the Pakhuis de Zwijger website.
