NM Magazine, a well-regarded Dutch trade journal on traffic management, has published an article on tradable mobility credits. The article is based on DIT4TraM deliverable D4.
In the article, authors Jesper Provoost, Oded Cats and Serge Hoogendoorn of TU Delft explain the concept behind mobility credits. The timing of their contribution is interesting: earlier this year, the new Dutch cabinet announced its intention to introduce road pricing with a flat charge by 2030. The authors make it clear that a price system with tradable mobility credits would be much more effective.
